Central Jakarta, Komdigi – President Prabowo Subianto received the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Tuesday (28/07/2026). During the meeting, the Head of State discussed a number of strategic programs in the energy sector, encompassing the acceleration of equitable electricity access across all villages, the development of new and renewable energy, the strengthening of national energy supply resilience, as well as the optimization of Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP) from the mining sector.

Following the meeting, Minister Bahlil conveyed that the village electrification program is one of the main priorities. He stated that out of approximately 11,000 villages that have yet to enjoy electricity access, the government has successfully reached more than 1,400 villages throughout 2025.

"We know that from the total villages without electricity, there are around 11,000, and thank God, in 2025 the program has completed over 1,400," Minister Bahlil explained before the media.

Regarding the energy transition, Minister Bahlil revealed that the 100-gigawatt solar power plant (PLTS) project will soon enter the construction phase. The government is targeting the first groundbreaking in the near future as a concrete step toward implementing clean energy.

"Secondly, we also discussed the implementation of the 100-gigawatt PLTS, which, God willing, will soon be marked by the first groundbreaking launch. So this will directly proceed regarding the PLTS, and the first phase has already been approved for execution," he said.

Amidst global geopolitical dynamics, particularly the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, Minister Bahlil ensured that national stocks of fuel oil (BBM) and LPG remain in a safe condition. According to him, national energy reserves are still above the established minimum standards.

"We also reported on the geopolitical war in the Middle East that has not yet ended, but we convey that our fuel and crude oil stocks are, God willing, above the national minimum standards, including the condition of LPG," he explained.

Furthermore, Minister Bahlil affirmed that subsidized fuel and LPG prices have not increased, in line with the government's decision, despite fluctuations in global oil prices.

"We can confirm that subsidized fuel prices have not increased, in accordance with what has been decided. So there is no increase for subsidized fuel, including subsidized LPG," he said.

The government is also giving special attention to the fuel needs of fishermen. The President instructed that fuel supply for fishermen must be ensured to support the smooth running of their businesses and their welfare.

"The President directed that fuel for fishermen must be given serious attention so that they can carry on with their business," he said.

On the fiscal side, Minister Bahlil conveyed that the government continues to strive to increase PNBP from the mineral mining sector through better mining governance arrangements. This step is expected to make a significant contribution to state revenue.

"We also reported on the arrangement of mining in order to increase our PNBP, and thank God, everything has been conveyed," he concluded.

This meeting reaffirms the government's commitment to realizing national energy independence and resilience, while also ensuring equitable energy access for all Indonesian people.
